Applied Primitive Patterns - Introduction and Advanced combined over one weekend.

Course Outline: Intro (Saturday)

The students will be introduced to the concept of primitive patterns; what they are, how they work and how to use then clinically within a musculoskeletal context. The course will also discuss and take an in-depth look at Anatomy trains, the fascial lines of the body, how muscles are connected to each other and how primitive patterns can be used to effect and improve these lines.

The course will have significant practical components, on how to assess primitive patterns on a person and then how to treat and improve a clients functional movement patterns using primitive patterns.

The course will also go through patient case studies with differing musculoskeletal presentations and how to apply the patterns to achieve the best result for the client.

A detailed course booklet will be provided to the students.

Learning outcomes:

  • Will have an understanding of what primitive patterns are and the 7 different patterns.

  • Will have an understanding of what Anatomy trains are and the 6 different fascial lines.

  • Will have an ability to assess the primitive patterns on a client.

  • Will have an ability to improve a person’s patterns and treat musculoskeletal conditionsusing primitive patterns.

Course Outline - Advanced (Sunday)

The students will further develop their understanding of primitive patterns. They will be introduced to assessing and treating eye movement and their affect on the patterns and the musculoskeletal system.

The course will also introduce the student to the loaded primitive pattern; what they are, how they work and how to use then clinically within a musculoskeletal context. The course will continue to discuss and take an in-depth look at Anatomy trains, the fascial lines of the body, how muscles are connected to each other and how primitive patterns can be used to effect and improve these lines.

Learning outcomes:

  • Will have a further understanding of the 7 primitive patterns and the fascial lines.

  • Will be introduced to assessing and treating eye movement.

  • Will have an understanding on how to assess and treat by loading the patterns.

  • Will have an understanding of the Anatomy Trains Arm Lines.

  • Will develop an understanding on how to use primitive patterns to treat chronic pain presentations.
